Three rising stars perform hauntingly atmospheric music by British composers. The first half features Britten’s Six Metamorphoses for oboe, Notturno for piano, and Winter Words, his settings of Thomas Hardy for tenor and piano. After the interval, Vaughan Williams’ 10 Blake Songs and Linden Lea will be offset by Ruth Gipps’ playful Sea-Shore Suite and Thea Musgrave’s plaintive Night Windows.
